YOU'VE HIT ROCK BOTTOM

When you hear the words- 'you've hit rock bottom' or you're just 'a little bit broken right now', 'you're just not very well at the moment'.

The feeling of doom and gloom overwhelms you, you feel like they aren't talking about you, this can't be right. Or you get this intense feeling of self-hatred, anger frustration. You also feel scared, alone and emotional. Feeling all of these emotions at the same time or within in a short time frame is overwhelming! No one can tell you how you're supposed to be feeling or what you're supposed to be feeling. Then this panic sets in, 'people are going to think i'm crazy', 'what about my kids and husband', what about work. These are all rational and normal feelings to have when you're having a 'break down' or 'mental health crisis' as the professionals like to put it.

I am writing this from a personal experience, I just want people to feel understood and that it's ok not to be ok sometimes, we all have low points in our lifes and feel like there's no coming back from rock bottom. Trust me when I say, it is possible, with the right support and network around you things will change, it might take some time but be kind to yourself and take that time you need.

My message to you- Take each day at a time, baby steps and you'll get there. You are loved and not alone!
